Reporting Health Insurance Fraud In Wisconsin

Health insurance frauds are getting more widespread as the expense of health care rises. Be wary of unlicensed insurers who provide low-cost coverage but then refuse to pay claims. Also, be aware of so-called “cheap health plans,” which aren’t truly insurance at all but market as if they are.

When in doubt, contact Wisconsin’s Office of the Commissioner of Insurance to ensure you’re dealing with a licensed insurer. Remember, if anything appears to be too good to be true, it generally is!
